The Prospective Marriage Visa (Subclass 300) is designed for foreign applicants seeking to enter Australia to marry an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen. To apply for this visa, you must be sponsored by your fiancé in Australia.
It’s important to note that this visa is not suitable for same-sex couples. If you are in a same-sex relationship, you should consider applying for the Partner visa based on de facto relationship grounds. The Prospective Marriage Visa is valid for a period of 9 months.
