Intrigued About UK work visa Without an Employer’s Work Permit or PR Status? UK Scale Up Visa

UK work visa/ UK Scale Up Visa

We’ve witnessed the history of the UK Immigration , from the WHMV (Working Holiday Maker Visa) to the HSMP, which later became the HSW (Highly Skilled Worker) visa, both suspended by the UK Government. Fond memories from the early days of my immigration career! Here is the option at the moment:

How It Works

1️⃣ Approx. 34,000 UK businesses qualify as scale-up companies. They must hold A-rated status on the list of approved UK sponsors to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS). Official UK government list here:

2️⃣ Around 428 eligible occupations under this Scale-Up Visa. We source info from official UK gov websites for accuracy and transparency.

What Is the UK Scale-Up Visa?

The UK Scale-Up Visa lets foreign workers work for rapidly growing UK companies for at least 6 months. Introduced in Aug ’22 to help UK businesses access global talent.

Key Highlights

Switch jobs after 6 months.
Stay up to 2 years (extendable to 5).
Apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) after 5 years on a Scale Up Visa.

Scale-Up Visa Requirements

Job offer from an approved scale-up business (min. 6 months).
Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) from your employer.
Eligible occupation.
Meet salary requirements (£34,600 p.a. or ‘going rate’).
English language proficiency.
Sufficient funds.

Scale-Up Visa vs. Skilled Worker Visa

Both are part of the UK’s points-based immigration system, requiring a sponsored job offer. But Scale-Up visa holders can switch jobs/employers after 6 months without sponsorship.

Quick Demo
